doing the unthinkable

We are doing the unthinkable at our house.....
We are adopting a mature dog. She is sort of, middle aged. She is heartworm positive, and has other illnesses (kennel cough and worms, un-neutered, etc). Yes, she will be an expensive girl. But, so sweet. But I was an unthinkable dog.....crushed by car, messed up hips, aggressive behavior, un-neutered, ugly. But someone saw that I could be a wonderful companion and saved me. So here we are again, doing the unthinkable......taking a dog into our love-circle that most people would never want because she is too old, too sick, too expensive, too, too, too.......

  2. Oh, I can't wait to see pictures! Wow, how lucky she is to live with Turke and have such a wonderful Mommy. It says so much about a person when they bring home a dog like this. This new doggie will be so happy to have all that love coming her way!

  3. That is wonderful. She is very fortunate to have someone to take her as a senior with all those problems. I'm pretty sure it doesn't happen too often. I'm sure she's going to be very happy with you. You and your humans are wonderful.
